Tania Gardner (Danwish)

I grew up with dogs, Corgis and Rough Collies. My first Irish Setter came into my life in 1995.

In my 20s & 30s I was competing with my horses in eventing and dressage competitions, Finnbar my Irish setter came along to every event as my lucky mascot. I bought my first Irish Setter “show” dog in 2007, Rafferty became Sh Ch Riqitta Authentic, dog showing became my hobby and passion.
Marnie is my foundation bitch, Sh Ch Thendara Jocasta JW. I breed the occasional litter when I want a puppy to show. I have owned IRWS since 2004, I started to show them in 2016, “Caleb“, Sh Ch Game Reserve With Danwish and his niece “Tilda”, Sh Ch Charnborough Of Danwish JW are the joint top winning IRWS of 2022. I also own and show Afghan Hounds and this year I have my first English Setter puppy who attended her first Ch Show in January.

I very much enjoy judging and have been lucky to have judged Irish Setters & IRWS in Salzburg and Sweden as well as all over the UK. I am approved to award CC’s in Irish, IRWS, Weimaraner’s and Afghan Hounds. I am secretary for the Irish Setter Association, England. I work part time for the UK Kennel Club and any spare time is spent reading, walking and enjoying holidays with my daughter.

I am honoured to have been asked and very much looking forward to judging your club show.

Kerry Ann Chorley (Kerryfair)

I grew up with Irish Setters, they were in my house before I was born. My first love was our beautiful Connie, Cornevon Spring Melody. When I was 5 years old she had a litter that produced Sh Ch Kerryfair Night Fever. The rest of my childhood, so many of my memories were of being at shows with my mum campaigning him, or visiting one of his many lovely litters.I started judging at 18 years old, and had along break whilst I was bringing up my 3 children. I always stayed close to the show results and was very much involved in our dogs and breeding program at home. I came back into the world of shows when my children were older and we had our lovely Pawsword Priceless to Kerryfair. I am very lucky in that my daughter Emma is now our handler and I think we are possibly the only 3 generation of Irish Setter show families in the UK. She is doing very well with our young boy Kerryfair Just Be who was Our Dogs Top Irish Setter Puppy UK last year.
